ABSTRACT

The article presents the specifics of the operation of machines in the North and shows dependence of work on temperature and humidity, the influence of low temperatures on the elements of machine reliability. The article studies maintainability, which is one of the most relevant parameters, and analyzes technical and economic components of the equipment operation. In Northern conditions, it is very important to take into account the possibilities and feasibility of restoring equipment. The cost variator method is considered on the example of the Komatsu D-355C pipelayer, which allows to estimate the remaining life of the machine and calculate the optimal level of investment in the operation of equipment, with the aim of profitable use. The profitability of the repair was calculated with all the factors influencing it. The dependence on the quality of the spare parts used in the remanufacturing of Komatsu pipelayers’ engines was obtained using the cost variator method.
