ABSTRACT

Climate change and fluctuation will affect animals and plants indefinitely. Today’s environment has distorted to such an extent that special consideration must be given to it. As a result, metabolite analysis can be utilized to address a wide range of scientific concerns about toxicants’ impacts on the environment. The advancement of medicinal plant metabolism investigations in harsh environmental conditions has been facilitated by an innovative technique based on metabolomics research. Because medicinal plants produce diverse enzymes that digest organic pollutants in nature, they are true instances of biological adaptations to endure extreme environmental changes. Plant whole-genome sequencing has allowed scientists to explore the impact of quality parameters at the metabolic level in recent years. Chapter 11 attempts to investigate the benefits and limitations of medicinal plant metabolomics in the context of harmful environmental contamination.
