ABSTRACT

The 21st-century students are digital natives. Their thinking process is varying from their predecessors. The education system has been rapidly changing with innovative pedagogy. Students are fond of using the Internet, video games, mobile phones, and other digital tools. Teachers are needed to design lessons to make learning interactive and meaningful. The conventional methods of teaching are rigid and laborious. Education facilitates learning, knowledge, skills, and moral values. The Web 2.0 is being shifted from content-based pedagogies to communicative based pedagogies. The methodology of novel teaching is reproduced in the lesson plan of the teacher. Online resources such as e-tutoring, e-journals, e-books, and e-library facilitate learning without time constraints. This chapter explores the digital pedagogy for effective teaching and learning. The web pages, multimedia, podcast, lessons, assignments, multiple-choice questions, quiz, discussion group, and so many others are possible methods to deliver the content. E-learning has also been supplementing in the Traditional Classroom. The enthusiastic students use e-learning to progress their skills. Synchronous and asynchronous learning is self-paced learning. Students are allowed to swap over their data to the peer. Teachers design the text, methods, strategies, and tools of technology in education. The educational reforms depend on both the teachers and their learners. The state should encourage innovative pedagogy and conduct training and the Continuous Professional Development programs for the teachers.
