ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology unleashed a new arena of science by converging various disciplines that are highly relevant to agricultural, food systems along with environmental safety. People always face several problems in agricultural practices and need access to clean water, air and nutritious food. Nano-pesticides, nano-formulations, nano-fertilizers, nanofibres, nanomedicines and nanosensors are emerging as weapons of technology. They are potent to combat the high-cost traditional agricultural techniques, food and nutritional safety as well as water purification, which may present new chance to reduce the environmental risk. This chapter compiles certain nanotechnological factors and methods, which can provide impactful solution to several environmental problems. It can move towards resource saving by preventing the environment from pollution, risk factors and agricultural damages.
