ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to propose and design a new low-profile antenna system composed of a miniature antenna associated with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) type compact metamaterial so as not to degrade antenna performance and reduce its sensitivity to its environment and to protect the human body against electromagnetic radiation from the antenna to the body. This structure has an Ultra Wide Band operation on the X band ranging from 8 GHz to 12 GHz and dedicated for medical applications.
