ABSTRACT

This paper presents the elaboration of a fuzzy sliding mode controller (FSMC) used for a Brushless DC motor (BLDC). The studied controller specifies modifications in the output control signal by using the sliding surface and its variation in order to guarantee the attraction conditions and the sliding mode stability. The proposed FSMC is implemented in Matlab Simulink and compared to a conventional PI control. The simulation results confirm the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed FSMC strategy against motor parameters and load variations.
