ABSTRACT
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an advanced technology creating a network of communicating things. IoT based on present technological advances and capabilities. There are various electronic gadgets in every smart city. We are made smarter by modern equipment and technologies, which contribute to a comfortable life. The technology is applied to make our lives secure by contributing to a better and safer environment. Smart city applications are discussed in this chapter along with various technological advancements projected for the future. The current condition of the smart city concept and its acknowledgement is summarized in this chapter. The suggested interactive platform is also discussed for city development.
