ABSTRACT

In this scientific and industrial world, to meet the customer requirements in the stipulated time with greater accuracy is a tedious task. In order to fulfil the customer needs and their demands with better performance, the automation plays a vital role in many of the industries such as automobile, defence, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, aeronautical and so on. In the automobile industries, industrial robots are highly employed to execute a variety of tasks in assembling and manufacturing. The classic automobile industries use the robots in paint shop unit, chassis line building, body unit and assembling unit. The autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can infer and move throughout the industry environment without any direct regulation from the human machinist. These AMRs increase the flexibility, safety, and scaling with quick implementations. Like the AMRs, the drones express the great potential in the logistics industry and warehousing operations. They are used for automatic inventory checks, surveillance and intra logistics. In addition to the industrial robots, the automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are used to transport the heavy goods in and around the industry or warehouse with no manual driver on the board. This technological overview gives a deep insight into the various applications in the automobile industries.
