ABSTRACT
An overview of multifunctional carbon nanotubes (CNTs) production for sensor and water treatment technologies is reported in this chapter. The various types, structures, and morphology of CNTs are also discussed. The primary classes of CNTs, namely single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), were distinguished with details. The well sought-after characteristic properties of CNTs by scientists and engineers and their characterisation techniques for effective performance are thoroughly discussed. Moreover, the applications of CNTs for sensor and water treatment technologies were reported in detail.
