ABSTRACT

Food labeling has become a marketing strategy to enhance the external appearance of the product so as to increase the overall product acceptability. Apart from adding to its visual appeal, nutritional labeling should be considered as one of the important tools for letting consumers make the right choice. The better is the packaging of the food with a label; the more it is accepted by the consumers. Food labeling should be able to empower the consumers to make apt choices towards healthy dietary practices.
