ABSTRACT
The third chapter comes in two main parts. The first part contains an overview of geotechnical parameters and is intended to help geophysicists and geologists better understand the focus and needs of geotechnical engineers. The second part provides perspectives on some of the most promising relations between geotechnical and geophysical parameters in the onshore environment. This section is the most academic part of the book. It is included for the interested reader and in order to highlight the potentials for further and more direct collaboration in the future.
