ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the assessment methods of fouling and scaling for saline water systems. It discusses the various parameters of saline water that indicate the fouling and scaling aspects in the process systems. Examples of tools, tests, methods, equipment and approaches for water quality assessment that have been developed and applied in full-scale reverse osmosis plants are presented.
