ABSTRACT

The expansion of greenhouse gases (GHGs) concentration are not sufficiently reduced by worldwide conventions, the point that key sources of changing climate are still progressing. The effect of climate change can therefore only be reduced through mitigation effort, and it is these days the key approach to ensure food security along with sound ecological and environmental protection. Traditional agroforestry farming system (TAFS) as one of the mitigation approach is the set of ancient agroforestry systems which commonly barren the deliberate intensification of agricultural and trees/forage crops cultivation presently practiced throughout the globe with different structure, purpose, socioeconomic task and conservation services. TAFS is a location-specific farming practice which is specific to the regions depending on the availability of the native trees integrated into the system and helps in mitigating climate change through the huge potential of sequestrating atmospheric carbon and storing it into them as wood biomass.
