ABSTRACT

This study is to develop AR (Augmented Reality) materials for M-learning (mobile-learning) built by the website development tools Vuforia and Unity. Not only are these for server application across various platforms (Windows, Mac-OS), but they also support teachers in personal portfolios to prepare the materials dependent on the varied teaching sites. This refers to the facility, layout, system plan and the teaching environment of different M-learning devices, such as laptop/tablet/smart phone for the OS (Operating System) of Windows, iOS & Android in a classroom of a general primary school.

The teaching materials in this study had been tested by the subjects, including Windows, iOS and Android operation systems of the multiple M-learning devices (laptop, tablet, smartphones), which are in the teaching environments (a classroom in the elementary school, teacher's office and university campus). The sequence of these tests in this study is “laptop-tablet-smartphone,” which requires the mouse device in laptop tests to support the subjects to learn about the test process and doesn’t require any supported device in the other two tests.

This study builds the AR materials for M-learning to be used in a local mobile platform in cloud storage for teachers. It is easily used in sharing and follow-up development. This process of building the platform can be referred for teachers from different fields.
