ABSTRACT
The prototype of community culture is a concept and a method of development value, with operational elements. This study uses “Xinpu Persimmon Dyeing” as an example to explore this case through text analysis and field surveys, hoping to sort out a suggestion to guide community development. According to the conclusions that can be obtained in this study, the important development process and operational suggestions of “Xinpu Persimmon Dyeing” as a synonym for local characteristics have several points. 1. The starting point of the a cultural prototype with important local industries; 2. Early stage community participation and the establishment of community workshops; 3. The interaction and alliance between the workshop and other local industries; 4. Re-innovation of traditional skills and their own independent production and brand.
