ABSTRACT
Enriching the lifestyle and social cohesion of the local residents of the Gold Coast is the mobile library service overseen by Travis Le Couteur. Working on a two-week timetable, Travis Le Couteur’s mobile library brings a wide range of books for adults and children, as well as a good selection of CDs, DVDs and audiobooks to the local communities in over 20 different locations. Different library services throughout the country may require different qualifications depending on the scope of what particular job descriptions entail. Mobile Library people are a bit different. The mobile library definitely plays an integral part in mitigating the issue of social inclusion. There are a number of story times that have been recorded and are released every few days—older ones can be seen via our library website and are very popular. Mainly, they get other interests and pursue them rather than going to the library.
