ABSTRACT
The concept of DT is progressing in the field of the construction industry, especially after the adoption of IR 4.0. However, in the domain of the construction industry, DT is still a greenfield area and lacks maturity. Researchers are working on the development theories of DT by exploring their various capabilities under the construction industry; however, in this view, very few studies can be found. This chapter covers the concept of DT in the construction sector and DT various frameworks as defined by researchers. Moreover, the role of Building Information Modelling (BIM) has been discussed about DT technology for its effective operation capabilities under the construction industry.
