ABSTRACT
Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) are key to the global consumer dynamic. Smart cities are a central piece of the global consumer’s new objectives. Nations are vying for the distinction of being the capital of the automated industry. The green and smart approach to society provides business opportunities, and transcontinental alliances design and sells hardware and software. The smart city is unified and its distributed system's function aims to encourage more sustainable, liveable, and resource-efficient communities for its inhabitants. CPSs can be integrated into the equipment, services, and resources. This chapter outlines concepts of smart cities and how CPSs can be used to construct, manage, and inform the systems of the smart city.
