ABSTRACT

In this digital era of every possible computation, information sharing, classic to modern device inter-connectivity, of threats and attacks, of cybercrimes and ethical fraud, there is hardly any area where security is of no concern. The information is power and it has to be controlled while flow through a cascade of networks. This tall reliance of both organizations and people on the data makes it very fundamental. This, in turn, has driven to a increased mindset for secure information including ensuring the genuineness of information and messages, and to secure frameworks from network-based assaults. Thus cryptography has developed itself to give its best effort to eliminate all the vulnerable attacks as part of network security. In this work we are proposing an enhanced cipher that uses the basic capability of its previous version but now with more challenges including large text character base and image. This proposed method makes cryptanalysis indeed more troublesome using “Random Number as key” and slightly different concept to arrange of encryption rounds and keys for ultimate scrambling the plain text. This time Unicode character set is used which eliminates the limitation of encryption to only a small size data. Also makes algorithm suitable for image encryption as image is just an array of bytes. It also allows key exchange between receiver and sender automatic by adding key with the message itself at random locations (like in the middle of two halves decided again on the basis of random number).
