ABSTRACT
In metro cities, the bridges are the essential part which connect one place to other such as railway line crossing, river water crossing & to cross the busy roads. In smart cities, the bridge safety monitoring is very critical concern. Heavy traffic passes daily from the over-bridges built over complex terrain such as silica based soil, river water over bridge, railway line over bridges etc. There are chances that the bridge may get collapsed due to poor construction material, earthquakes, heavy loads, vibrations and rain water conditions etc. Therefore, in this paper a remote vision based bridge safety monitoring system is developed using internet of things (IoT) for smart cities
