ABSTRACT

The troubleshoot of failure modes of the casting crane and the determination of the repair cycle are relied heavily on subjectivity and experience, and are apt to over-repair or under-repair, can hardly meet the technical requirements of modern casting cranes. Herein, firstly, to improve low maintenance efficiency of the metal structure of casting crane, this chapter built a safety evaluation model on the objective weighting of the entropy weight method and the subjective weighting of the analytic hierarchy process, to integrate the objective analysis data and subjective prior knowledge. Secondly, the performance degradation models of four indicators including crack, strength, stiffness, and corrosion is established, respectively. Based on the proposed performance degradation model, the component and group maintenance decision scheme for casting cranes are then developed, and an example analysis is conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
