ABSTRACT

With the rapid advancement in information and communication technology has come the advent of multimedia and innovation in systems using the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless network sensors (WNS). Multimedia systems have emerged as IoT and WNS to create new opportunities for an edge, healthcare, live streaming and agricultural-technologies domain. In this chapter, we present a comprehensive review of the distinct frameworks; moreover, real-time applications, data compression and sensory data, challenges and limitations and open research issues of the Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT) in industrial production systems. Also, we have proposed a novel and secure framework for the IoMT service delivery systems. A general framework facilitates almost every aspect of the IoMT service delivery. By applying multimedia systems to sensor data, the real-time IoMT evolve and enable several applicational programs that provide vast management and recommendation systems for secure monitoring and control industrial production.
