ABSTRACT

A home is one such thing that is both considered a need and a luxury. After all the exhausting work that we do in a day, all we desire is for a little private space for ourselves called “home.” A home is welcoming, relaxing, comforting, and, most significantly, less tiring. We would not disagree with the fact that we become a little lazy to attend to our daily chores and clean our homes after a really exhausting day at work. In this digitalized world, we know that technology has evolved to such an extent that from small and petty tasks to complicated tasks, all are incomplete without automation. Automation has gone from being a luxury to a trend and to a must-have technology now. Discussing home and automation, why is home automation still not a well-received concept in most of the developing countries? Why are people still not adapting to this trend? What if we built a home, where, right from the interiors to basic amenities, and appliances, the daily activities are all done as you wish without actually you doing it? This paper attempts to answer all the queries regarding home automation and provide an insight into the research that we have done regarding the approach to automate a luxurious residential tower with the state-of-the-art automation technologies.
