ABSTRACT

Bacteria have been employed for centuries for their biocatalytic potential to produce different goods without considering the nature of their ingredients on the basis of biochemical characteristics. Nowadays, interest in bacterial enzymes has risen because of their extensive application in various fields due to their effective catalytic action, efficient stability, easy production, and optimization processes, compared to animal and plant enzymes. Enzyme applications in a range of industries (such as the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, juice and baking industry, dairy industry, brewing and wine industry, pulp and paper industry, textile industry, detergent industry, leather industry, cosmetics industry, and waste management) increase day by day due to accounting various parameters like requirements of low energy, minimum processing time, cost-effectiveness, nontoxicity, and eco-friendliness, which show attractive features and good opportunities and also form a good impact in the various fields of technical applications. Here, in this chapter, enzymes obtained from bacteria and their prospects for the benefit of human beings are the center of attention. This information will assist in drawing attention toward effective potential, which is fast gaining popularity and supporting healthcare.
