ABSTRACT
Education is one of the important pillars in the development of a civilized society; it develops the thinking and behavioural process of the people. Digitalization in education is the combined application of technology, knowledge, human skills, and instructions to make it more reachable, accessible, effective, and productive. Digitalization in higher education was happening slowly as an alternative and/or as a support element to the traditional classroom teaching. Its adoption was slow but COVID 19 has fueled it and demanded that the process of digitalization in education system be faster. Cloud computing has emerged as an important technology to support the efforts of digitalization of education. This chapter considers the issues and challenges faced by teachers due to digitalization in the higher education system and its effect on the teaching process.
