ABSTRACT

This research aims to investigate the students’ perceptions and attitudes on the implementation of character education and the readiness of students towards the coming society 5.0 era in the Study Program of Pancasila and Civic Education, Mulawarman State University. This research is a descriptive research using quantitative approach. 114 students (50% of the population students of class 2017-2019) were taken as research samples using a proportional random sampling technique. The findings show the students perception the implementation of character education is quite good. This is indicated by 76% of the respondents who have “quite good” perception. Meanwhile, the students attitudes on the implementation of character education is quite good. This is indicated by 88% of the respondents who have “quite good” attitudes. And readiness from students toward the society 5.0 era is good. This is indicated by 51% respondents who have good readiness.
