ABSTRACT

Dumping of waste products from different sectors is a big problem for our environment. Dumping of untreated waste may cause pollution. Nowadays, a lot of techniques are being executed for the treatment of waste products to develop new beneficial products for our society. Microbiological waste treatment has the potential to transform waste into feed and food-related product development. Pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, and agrochemical waste are being treated by different microbes like Lactobacillus sp., Pediococcus sp., Enterococcus sp., Streptococcus sp., Bacillus sp., Xanthomonas sp., Aspergillus sp., Trichoderma sp., Cryptococcus albidus sp., Xanthomonas citri, etc., for feed and food development. Therefore, this microbiological treatment is an excellent technology to convert food waste to feed products.
