ABSTRACT

For commercial folks, regulatory managers tend to be associated with getting products registered with the local health authority. Marketers spend a considerable amount of time in developing a strategic marketing plan, which essentially maps out the strategy for the product or portfolio over a period of time. The regulatory function plays an important role in helping the company achieve its business objectives in a compliant manner. New product development and launches are an important barometer for any organization, closely watched by the investment community. A strong alliance between regulatory and commercial will lay the foundation for commercial success. A proactive, bold regulatory manager who seeks to understand the commercial needs and is able to provide viable solutions will go a long way in any organization.
