ABSTRACT

This chapter begins by describing the strategic changes in recent years and moves on to introduce a strategic framework for businesses. As times are changing, the needs and demands of the patients are also evolving. Technology in the medical field is rapidly evolving. Almost every day, a new technology is being announced. The change in distribution channel is worth taking note of for distributors and dealers in the medical device or drug industry. Since China’s economic reform and trade liberalization about 40 years ago, it has now become the second biggest economy in the world after the United States. With the rise of digital and social media platforms as well as an increasingly digital-literate consumer base, it is unsurprising that digital marketing will be given much attention.
