ABSTRACT
A very large portion of this data is time-series in nature and requires special time series management software. A survey of modelers was conducted to confirm the necessity and importance of developing easy-to-use software that assists long-term continuous modeling. A survey of experts in stormwater management for research purposes is important and useful, because it helps identify current needs in urban stormwater management. The survey results showed that 60% of the respondents believed that continuous modeling is necessary in stormwater management. Credible modeling requires reliable data. A computational hydrology work group often receives hydrological data from external data gathering agencies. Digital data comes in many formats, from many sources. The US Geological Survey, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are the three most prominent agencies in the United States responsible for collecting, managing, or otherwise manipulating information that relates to water and earth sciences.
