ABSTRACT
From concept to manufacture and beyond, design, production and disposal of automobiles depends on structures, machines, and instruments supported on the ground. Proper design of foundations for facilities, machines and instruments depends on the principles associated with foundation and soil dynamics. Examples of applications of soil/foundation dynamics in the automobile industry from concept through production and to after life are presented.
