ABSTRACT

The study analyses high frequency effects which are excited by geometrieal Irregularities cf the surfaces of the wheel and rail. The basic exciting frequency of these Irregularities reaches values which in the range of usual service speeds are capable of producing vibrations close to the free vibrations of a resilient wheel in terms of frequency. Essentially it is going about vibrations of two elastic mass continuums. The course of these Irregularities has commonly a random character and from this result also random character of the reciprocal effects wheel - rail.

Therefore it is necessary to find frequency response function, which make possible to state -for known SPD of the Irregularities -- the corresponding SPD of the dynamic forces.
