ABSTRACT
The Connected Trains are a main mode of the heavy haul transportation in China. In this paper the equations of motion and shock characters of Connected Trains have been analysed. It shows that the synchronous, rational handling and proper characters of wagon equipments can reduse the train shock levels and ensure the safe running.
