ABSTRACT

A 250–300km/h high speed passenger bogie is being manufactured in China and the prototype of the bogie will be tested and studied on a roller rig on campus of Southwest Jiaotong University. The main construction of the bogie is introduced in this paper and a dynamic model of high speed passenger coach on track and on roller rig is developed for corresponding dynamic analysis. Parameter study is carried out for optimizing the dynamic properties of the bogie. Wheel / rail and wheel / roller relationships are studied carefully in order to grasp correllation between dynamic behaviour of the bogie tested on track and on roller rig.
