ABSTRACT
Mogami’s theory of granular materials were evaluated in terms of the author’s state parameter. It was said that Mogami’s entropy can be related consistently to the author’s state parameter.This relationship yielded a reasonable parameter transformation from (e, s) to (e,γ). The coefficient k which has appeared in the state functions was found to be dependent on grain shape and grading. This nature was used to a material classification.
