ABSTRACT

This paper deals with the numerical modelling and analysis of bolted T-stub components of steel-to-steel and steel-to-concrete end-plate type joints. The applied model is an advanced finite element model, considering both monotonic and cyclic loading. The axial stiffness of T-stubs is calculated and verified by test results. Monotonic loading ultimate analysis of base-plate T-stub is completed simulating experimental testing. Cyclic loading analyses are performed on T-stubs in a parametric study. The results are evaluated and the typical behaviour modes are presented. The conclusions on the T-stub monotonic and cyclic loading analyses are summarised.
