ABSTRACT
Extensive integrated investigations of “pile (pile group) soil base” system were carried out to test the basic design aspects and to better understand the physical picture of the interaction of piles with surrounding soil. These investigations involved the study of the stress state in piles at contact with the soil and in the soil mass, displacements, and deformation.
