ABSTRACT
This paper presents a finite element formulation for one-dimensional fluid-flow in cracks between two plane rock surfaces. The formulation includes the coupling with poro-elastic elements for the rock. The element have been implemented and tested in a finite element code. The accuracy and performance of the element is verified in bench mark tests compared to closed form solutions.
