ABSTRACT

There are many herbicides now available with possibilities for use within soft fruit crops. In spite of this armoury, however, perhaps because of changing methods of crop growing, and changes in other agricultural practices some particular weed problems still occur. These problem weeds, and possible control methods are discussed, according to weed type. The weed species discussed have been divided into several different categories, relating to their annual or perennial nature, susceptibility or resistance to herbicides, and the possible reasons for their build up in recent years.
