ABSTRACT
The authors present the results of a survey carried out on grape mites in eastern Sicily. Thirty three species were observed, belonging to ten families. Of these species, two are newcomers to the Italian fauna. The phytophagous mites observed are less numerous (a total of nine species) than the predators (a total of 13 species) and than those with a varied diet (11 species in all).
