ABSTRACT

Experiments conducted over six years in a vineyard in the South-East of France show that it is perfectly feasible to implement integrated pest control. This technique makes it possible to reduce the consumption of agro-pharmaceutical products considerably, while remaining within the bounds of cultivation practices. However, vine-growers must acquire more technical skills.

Forecasting of potential damage by certain pests, in particular powdery mildew – Uncinula necator (Burr.) – and the grape moth – Lobesia botrana (Schiff.) – must be made more precise.
