ABSTRACT

The food distribution behaviour of Apis mellifera ligustica Spin, is studied using the systemic chemical product Perizin liquid. The distribution of the acaricide in hive is tested by determining the number of fallen Braula coeca Nietzsch and Varroa jacobsoni Oud, during 186 hours. The results show a high activity level in A.m.ligustica depending on multiple secondary food exchanges. This experiment, carried out in a field trial, is in agreement with the laboratory tests of other Authors.
