ABSTRACT

We spent most of our days sitting, and, usually, in a not so correct posture, which causes some damage to our health. Detection and classification of the posture is one of the main applications in the medical field because it allows to detect whether the position taken is correct or incorrect, and, if it is incorrect it has the goal to reduce the negative consequences for the user’s health by correcting the position. This work presents the development of a chair that aims to alert the user to the type of posture that is being taken and to store this information for future analysis.
