ABSTRACT

The rapid development of electronic wireless communications with the concurrent activity of electronic gadgets, as well as in the defense domain, contribute to a kind of interference pollution called electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electromagnetic radiation in the GHz range using EMI shielding has become a serious concern in diverse fields of applications. EMI shielding is nothing but the reflection or absorption of the interfering electromagnetic wave. Due to the inevitable demands of high-temperature EMI shielding, different types of functional materials have been synthesized. The diverse range of materials includes ceramics, metal-based composites, polymer composites, and shape memory materials. A wide variety of properties of these materials are combined and utilized for their application for high-temperature EMI shielding.
