ABSTRACT

Computing encompasses the learning and trialing of algorithmic processes and the building of hardware and software. Speedy advancements in computing and the availability of high-speed internet have evolved into smart computing, which is the innovative initiation of incorporated hardware, software, and network technologies. It provides real-world, instantaneous alertness and analysis to individuals in intellectual decision-making.

Smart computing systems include smartphones, smart water systems, smart transportation, smart offices, and so on. They have eased the life of every individual. They comprise the internet of things (IoT).

The internet of things is a heterogeneous network that consists of the conventional internet and networks of constrained devices connected together using an internet protocol. As it is a heterogeneous network, the main challenge faced is security. We will be reviewing various cyber threats to smart computing, such as physical attacks, denial of service attacks, cyber espionage, and destructive attacks. Also, various techniques to mitigate cyber threats will be reviewed for the evolution of more efficient smart computing in the future.
