ABSTRACT
Polymeric foams are inevitable material in human life. Sustainability as well as conservation of energy-driven the foam market and a rise in the market is forecasted with a 6.8% compounded annual growth rate. Broadly, the market is led by the thermal and acoustic insulation properties as well as the lightweight, flexibility, and mechanical performance of polymeric foams. Foam nanocomposites are a new class of material, which extends the application of foam in more versatile segments like EMI shielding. This chapter provides an overview of the applications and market of polymeric foams.
