ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the dominance of the dimensions of knowledge and attitudes towards marriage through comprehensively developed aspects and indicators. This study used a survey method with a quantitative approach. The research sample was taken utilizing the snow-ball random cluster sampling. The study involved 543 students who came from four well-known public and private clusters in Bandung, Indonesia. The research data were collected using standardized questionnaires that tested for their validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and simple descriptive statistics. The results showed some dominant knowledge indicators appeared in students and several aspects and indicators of their attitudes towards marriage. Research recommendations focus on using research results as the basis for developing a pre-marital counseling and guidance service program at the university level.
