ABSTRACT

The debate about the role of a worker and the domestic role in women has been developed in the previous centuries. The dilemma of balancing the role of a worker and mother impacts working performance or parent-child interaction at home. As a worker and mother, women also found the difficulties of enjoying work and managing psychological awareness. The enjoyment and awareness of work activity define mindfulness at work. This study aims to reveal the state of mindfulness of working women who already have children at Islamic colleges in Bandung. Using the snowball sampling technique to capture respondents from 34 Islamic colleges in Bandung, 73 women working in this Islamic University have filled out the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). The results found that women who work in the Islamic college and already have children have a high state of mindfulness, lecturers, and administration staff.
