ABSTRACT
Garbage is a waste of food or goods that is considered to be of no benefit, garbage can be a source of disease if left without proper treatment. But if the garbage is well managed, then garbage will provide benefits to the community. One of them becomes a natural fertilizer in fertilize the soil for plants and vegetables. The purpose of this research is to find out the level of public awareness of wet garbage that is of economic value. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis with qualitative research types. Data collection techniques are observation and literature studies. The results of this research show the increasing science and public insight on waste management so as to provide public awareness in the reduction and handling of waste, namely applying the 3R process to waste, thus becoming something of economic value as well as the creation of a clean environment, fresh air and providing health for the community environment and increasing income for community.
