ABSTRACT

The elementary student's ability to using the gadget is often not accompanied by understanding the media. Digital literacy does need to be instilled from an early age, even though they are the digitally native generation. To find out more about how teachers in improving digital literacy in students. This study used a qualitative method, with a case study approach in 4 elementary schools in the city and regency of Bandung. The results showed that most teachers did not understand digital literacy as a whole. The school system had not provided direction and facilities supported. The implications are dangerous the students can get trapped in the negative aspects of digital media if they are not digitally literate. The conclusion that the digital literacy-basis curriculum is a solution for teachers and students to increase knowledge and offer digital literacy understanding. Not only more competent in search skills but also critical thinking skills.
